The Pathetic Amount of Commercialized Green Tea Articles on the Web

So I’ve been searching the web the past few weeks for information on Green Tea, and I’ve been somewhat distressed at the amount of commercialized great tea articles out there. It seems there’s quite a fad in the whole idea of green tea and health, so I come across all these terribly written articles that talk about the purported benefits of green tea. They don’t know what they’re talking about, and they don’t quote any references. They just list off some of the ‘amazing’ benefits of green tea and link to an affiliate or trash the page with ads or link to their main site to get better search engine rankings.

Why This Blog is Different

Now that I’ve become aware of the deplorable state of information (though there’s *certainly* no shortage of it… geez…) I have resolved to remedy the situation. Yes, I do have one set of ads in the sidebar, and yes, I am going to be doing some affiliate programs with tea retailers/wholesalers, but I’m going to give you write-ups on actual scientific journal publications and official research on green tea with links to my sources. I’m also going to give you honest reviews on teas that I’ve gotten and tasted personally (video reviews will be coming out starting in the summer… or whenever I have enough money to get a camera and expand my tea horizons).

The first 90 or so Posts on This Blog Are Trashy

Yes, I admit it. I bought a bunch of articles on green tea and started posting them to get traffic to the site. I’ve actually had this website for a long time. My original idea was to make a bit of money off of a site on green tea… because I love green tea so much. But I have since realized that posting trashy articles will only serve to clutter up the web and spread mis-information and confusion. So. I have Since reformed and have purposed to put some quality content on the web. Why don’t I just delete them? Two reasons. First off, I’m lazy, and I’d have to go through the posts manually and delete all of them. That won’t do. Second of all, the posts, even if thy are trashy, help with the SEO for the site, and I want to spread good information, so I want people to find the site. Someday I will probably take down those posts, when I’ve gotten a substantial amount of good information on this site. But until then, I leave you with his disclaimer.

I hope this site is helpful to anyone to whom green tea is not just a drink but a part of life. Cheers.
